The main difference between the Nissan LEAF SV and SV Plus are their battery and synchronous motor outputs. The entry-level LEAF SV is fitted with a 40 kW lithium-ion battery mated to a 110 kW AC synchronous motor, while the SV Plus is fitted with a larger 100 kW
lithium-ion battery and a 160 kW AC synchronous motor. The SV generates 147 horsepower, has an estimated range of 240 kilometres and can be charged in as little as 40 minutes, while the SV Plus produces 214 horsepower, has a longer estimated range of 342 kilometres and can be charged in as little as 45 minutes.
Advanced Regenerative Braking System
Make the most of every drive and prolong your LEAF’s all-electric driving range, courtesy of the e-Pedal Mode regenerative braking system. This advanced system takes the typically wasted kinetic energy created during braking and uses it to charge the LEAF’s lithium-ion battery pack as you drive.
